MGI has been in the Philippine Islands for over 8 years. During this time, they were involved with the mining of gold before becoming actively involved in the search for Yamashita's Treasure.
MGI Inc. (which will be responsible for day-to-day operations) has spent years and much money investigating possible burial sites of the treasure throughout the Philippine Archipelago. Their combined research has led them to many valid sites. During the years of research, they have come to realize that the key to successfully finding the treasure is to understand that each site has been carefully marked by the Japanese.
Once this is understood, then the signs or markers can be followed to the treasure. Combining this with the very latest in western technology (including ground penetrating radar, magnetometers, and frequency modulators), MGI will then be able to verify that the gold actually exists on site.
MGI has obtained a codebook and even more importantly, the ability to read the markers. We have been tutored for the last 5 years on learning the "art of sign reading". This ability has been put to the test over the last few years on numerous sites and has resulted in the recovery of three small, shallow caches of gold.
The markers have proven to be very consistent and highly accurate. This gives MGI the ability to approach sites the way the Japanese themselves had actually planned on doing to retrieve the treasure.
